These simple pan-fried shrimp are tossed in oil, lemon, garlic, and spice seasoning, then thrown in a skillet and pan-fried for 5 minutes for a quick 15 minutes meal. You can’t go wrong with this easy shrimp recipe and it will be one of your all-time favorite and go-to recipe.
How long to cook shrimp?
Shrimp cooking time depends on the size of the shrimp. Usually 1 or 2 minutes per side. To avoid overcooking shrimp, remove them from the heat right when the shrimp meat is the same pink color pink all around and there’s no grey left. Cooked shrimp will be in a loose C shape while overcooked shrimp tend to form a tighter C or an O.

1.To make the lemon garlic shrimp: In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons oil with 1 tablespoon lemon juice, salt, pepper, minced garlic, garlic powder, cumin, onion powder, paprika. Add in shrimp and toss to coat well. Let sit for 5 minutes.
2. Heat up a skillet on medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon oil and add the seasoned shrimp and make sure to spread on a single layer. Cook for one minute on one side, then flip shrimp on the other side. Add remaining lemon juice to deglaze and continue to cook for 2 minutes, stirring regularly or until the shrimp is fully cooked.
3. Add the fresh chopped parsley and stir to combine well. Serve the lemon garlic shrimp immediately with lemon wedges. Enjoy! ❤️

Tips for the lemon garlic shrimp recipe
- For the best result, use medium-sized shrimp, as larger shrimp tend to be rubbery in texture if they cook too long. Peel off the shell, you can leave the tail on just like we did in the pictures (it’s great for presentation) or remove it if you like.
